About RVI

Dr. John founded Racing Vehicles Inc. (RVI) in 1999.  Dr. John has been a "motorhead" for over 50 years and involved in both Drag Racing and Performance Driving Shools at over a dozen road-racing courses.    Numerous discussions with racers convinced Dr. John that some sort of integrated picture was needed to be developed for motorsports safety.  This, combined with the technical research outlined below, lead to the Safety Net approach for your Racing Safety Package.   A safety net will not work unless there are both horizontal and vertical webs (straps).   Also, the safety net is less safe if the webs are not stitched together.   Therefore, concentrating your time and money in only one aspect of the Safety Package does not guarantee Winning More Safely.   The key is to think about the INs and OUTs of your Safety Package.

RACINGSAFETY.NET

Dr. John believes that this Safety Net approach is good for all forms of Racing Safety.  Hence, RVI is the PROUD HOST of the RacingSafety.net website that is devoted to improving Safety in all forms of Sponsored or Sanctioned Racing.   This site has a Dedication Page where you can add the initials of anyone injured during a Sponsored or  Sanctioned Race.    The RacingSafety.net  website concentrates on "you sharing your SAFETY story, pictures and video" and your opinion on how to make your  racing events MORE SAFE !

Goals of RVI
  • To ENHANCE the fun of motorsports racing by being more safe.
  • To REDUCE your change of a DNF (did not finish) by increasing your team's awareness of more safe behavior.
  • To provide IDEAS that help each motorsports racing-participant feel more safe
  • To promote the safety of any motorsports event.
  • To provide the opportunity for racing teams to share their motorsports safety tips.
